True North wins Non-Profit of the Year!

The True North (formerly the Wheatland Crisis Society) wins Non-Profit of the Year at the Strathmore Wheatland Chamber of Commerce (SWCC) awards.

Amazing. Astonishing. Astounding. Surprised. Bewildered. Stunned. Breathtaking. Incredible. Awesome. Jaw-Dropping…..
None of these words are big enough to describe how we feel after The 2022 Strathmore Wheatland Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards!

The SWCC business awards are an opportunity to recognize businesses which go above and beyond in the Strathmore and Wheatland area.

“Acting chair of the SWCC, Hayley Poirier, said the event is an important one to hold as it recognizes businesses and entrepreneurs who set a standard of excellence in the local community.”

“As of Dec. 30, 2021, Poirier said there had been 140 nominations across the 13 award categories. Nominations for businesses or individuals were left up to the public to nominate. Those who were asked to judicate the event were selected as non-biased parties.”

Non-Profit of the Year!!!
True North (formerly operating as the Wheatland Crisis Society) has been in this community for 30 years. True North is a healthy relationship and domestic violence support center with three main branches of service: emergency shelter, Outreach, and Public Education.
We are beyond proud to be a part of a community that takes care of each other. Thank you for recognizing all the important work we do!
