Charity Gala 2024
We invite you to be a vital partner in our mission by supporting our Annual Charity Gala! This year’s theme, “The Roaring 20’s”, will serve as a vibrant backdrop for advocating against family violence, with the color purple acting as a powerful symbol of awareness, remembrance, and community solidarity during Family Violence Prevention Month in Alberta.
November 2nd, 2024
Legacy Farm Historical Granary
1001 East Pine Road, Strathmore AB
Doors open: 17:30
This gala evening will feature keynote speakers, live entertainment, silent auction, raffles, and a prime rib buffet dinner!
Why Your Support Matters
Based on their belief that all members of our community should be able to live without abuse or the threat of abuse, tenacious and caring community members came together in 1992 to create a Society dedicated to providing shelter, counselling and referral services to survivors of abuse without regard to their gender, age, race, religion, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, marital status or mental or physical ability. True North Society (formerly Wheatland Crisis Society) opened its shelter in May of 1993, the first in Canada that provided shelter and other services to both male and female survivors of domestic abuse.
We gratefully acknowledge the following organizations for their generous support of our 2024 Roaring 20’s Charity Gala.
