The Wheatland Crisis Society (WCS) raises $24,000 at the Harvest Gala.
The Harvest Gala was attended by 260 guests who were entertained during dinner by the Peterson Family, Indigenous dancers, and an improv show from Push Button. As well as, Grant Klaiber, who was thrilled to be back behind the microphone after a couple of years away to be the auctioneer for the live auction portion of the evening. “The evening was wrapped up with a performance by the Locals,” reports Natalie Johnstone with Strathmore Now.
Beyond question, the amount of support that came through for this event was overwhelming. We weren’t too sure, post-Covid, how many people would attend the gala and what kind of night it would be, but we were utterly shocked at the amount of support from our community! With the help of our community, WCS raised an estimated $24,000 to help provide assistance to those affected by domestic violence!
Next year will be our 30th Anniversary, and we hope to bring back the annual event!
Thank you everyone who made the gala a reality!
Thank you to everyone behind the scenes of the Harvest Gala either volunteering, making decor, setting and helping with takedown. And our local 4H group @therustyspurs for helping us clean up.
We are BEYOND grateful for the amount of support we have received and we look forward to celebrating our 30th anniversary with you next year!
